Who says you can't be modern and modest at the same?
Back in the days not many women wore the hijab or if they did it wasn't as trendy and colourful as it is today. I remember seeing the girls going to school wearing the triangle scarfs mainly they were black, white or navy blue. But then around the turn of the century- millennium time the pashminas were out in different colours.
Today i see the girls all blinged up looking modern & modest at the same time with colourful scarves in different styles. Getting my girls to school on time is one thing but when i see all the parents in the playground looking so nice and crisp early in the morning and I think to myself... how do they do it?
